We were first time cruisers with princess, recently did the Yokohama Japan to Singapore cruise, have sailed Cunard and holland America previously, very enjoyable but long delays getting off ship for day excursions and disembarkation took hours standing in long queues, didn't have that on other ships. Crew not as friendly as holland America but the food was wonderful. Found a lot of passengers had terrible coughs and flu and on the day trips very annoying to be coughed and spluttered on for hours in the tour buses, no masks were supplied, I'll take my own next time as now have come home with a terrible dose!

Also some of the day excursions not vey good, overly priced and not good value, just taking the free shuttle into town is a much better option. The entertainment was good, the diamond princess dancers and band are wonderful but some entertainment not so good! The movies played on the outdoor movie screen not good choices and not on often enough. A lot of the talks and presentations offered eg back pain was merely a talk for the man to sell his expensive acupuncture, very disappointing and language difficulties, mainly Australian and English on board and yet their presenters had very poor English and extremely difficult to understand, we gave up on some of the talks, Very nice young Japanese lady doing the photography talks but couldn't understand a word she said! Overall princess was vey good and we will sail again but if I had to choose holland America much better line!
