Excursions for the most part were good but no time at the end was allowed for gift shop purchases, ie Rome. After a beautiful but hot walk thru the Vatican museums there was no time to purchase even a postcard. Only One cashier who didn't know what he was doing be cause they opened the gift shop last minute, and 3 tour groups waiting in line to make purchases was ridiculous. I finally gave up because the tour guide was rushing to walk to the restaurant to eat. At One port the organization to go ashore was totally chaotic. First group delayed which backed up the next group. Like domino effect. People in group 3 were sitting on the stairs while group one was still getting off, people standing in line forever. There has to be a better system. We don't think excursions should be made available according to cabin class. Everyone should have the same opportunity.

We did our Airfare through Viking. Never again. First bookings were changed totally at the last minute on a non-American airlines partner so we got no air miles for the trip. I Sked for a partner airline. One hour layover in Amsterdam was NOT enough time. We barely made our connection to Barcelona. We stayed an extra 4 nights in Venice and were booked on a 6:45 am flight. Will do our own air next time.

Katut, our cabin steward did an excellent job keeping the room/bathroom/veranda immaculate and he knew our names after the first day. He always greeted us by name. In The Restaurant our server, Nyoman, was the best. We asked for his section every time. Very personable and accommodating.
