We enjoyed our trip on the Allure of the Seas. Overall we had a great time, but there are some things we wish we knew before we went on our trip. We did not know about many services, options, and hidden away places until we had been on the ship for 2 or 3 days. Hopefully, these tips will help you on your next cruise...

1. My Time Dining. If you sign up for My Time Dining, you may get the time you want for dinner, but you will be limited to one dining room. Apparently, some dining rooms, including the Grande, are reserved for first and second seating dining. Not the end of the world, but good to know so you don't wait 20 minutes on line at the wrong dining location. Look at the third line on your SeaPass, it will list your assigned dining room.

2.The Right Currency. I knew the Europeans did not like to accept US Dollars on the port visits, but I didn't know the preferred currency on the Allure was the US Dollar. I tipped a casino employee with some Euros, and it was obvious he wasn't thrilled. By the way, you can't make a purchase in any of the stores with either cash or credit card. You can only use your SeaPass to buy any items in the Boutiques.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D6

Appeared tp be small when we first got there, but by day two, we adjusted to our surroundings and enjoyed our accommodations.

Port Reviews

Naples

Got a real sense of the city, but the tour guide was just so-so.

Marseille

Went to Old Port- Every one was friendly. We did not have lunch, but enjoyed our brief stop over.
