We sailed from Canada Place in Vancouver. We got to the dock at 11:20 am and were sitting on board the ship eating lunch by 12 noon. It was the most organized embarkation that we have ever had. We have sailed on 16 cruises now and this was one of the best all round. We had an outside room on the 2nd deck Room 2171. It was a normal size for a cruise ship and the beds are so comfortable. The food on this trip was amazing. We had dinner in the main dining room 6 out of 7 nights. We like early seating and that is what we had. There were 8 of us so we had a round table for 8 which had a view of the ocean. Our waiter, Garry and Assistant Waiter Carlos were great. They were friendly from the very start, usually it takes a day or two to get the waiter and assistant to relax and enjoy their time with us. Anything we wanted or needed they got for us. Our one friend has a peanut allergy and her meals were made special for her so she would not have any issues. Shrimp cocktail, Escargot, Salmon and Creme Bruille were availabe every night. We have sailed with other cruise lines and the food has not been as good as what we experienced on the Millennium.

The Entertainment was great. The Millennium dancers performed three times in the 7 nights, the was a comedian who was really great, Joel Mason did an Elton John Tribute and it was fantastic. We enjoyed every show and also enjoyed the dancing in the Cosmos Lounge. The 50's and 60's trivia was lots of fun. The Cruise director John was very funny and talented. He played the guiter with the band in the Cosmos lounge and in the theatre. Now that there is not smoking inside the ship, it is pleasant to just walk around the ship as there are lots of seating areas to relax and read a book or sleep if the weather is awful. The solarium looked great, but we did not go swiming on this trip. The casino is also smoke free which makes it quite enjoyable.

Cabin Review

Ocean View 8

Cabin 08

There is plenty of room for you and your belongings. You really don't spend much time in your room so the 170-square -foot room is perfect. We had before dinner drinks, (8 people) in one of the four rooms (there were 4 couples and we each took turn hosting the before dinner get together) and there was adequate room. Our room was ajoining to our friends cabin next door which was an added bonus.
