We did the Norwegian Breakaway in August. It was our first trip in many many years without kids! I was very disappointed. The only thing that saved this trip was we managed to snag the last two tickets in to "The Vibe" for the week. It is adult only and we loved it! It was of course an extra $200.00. It was next to the Haven pool area but seperate. There were two jacuzzi's, a large staffed bar, a beautiful shower, private cabana's and double sized sun lounge beds. You could also order lunch off a menu but of course that was extra money too. Hmm.

We also paid extra $$$ for the specialty restaurants (are you sensing a theme here? ) I really wish we didn't. The food in the two regular restauarants was better. The only specialty places we liked was the Teppenaki/Hibatchi and Cagney's. The very worst and most aggravating thing about dining on NCL is you pay extra for the specialty restaurants and then when you get the menu you pay EXTRA for specialty items on the menu in the restaurant you already paid extra for? So I can have steak but if I want a lobster tail its an extra 15.00 on top of the extra we paid for the specialty restaurant. Like what is up with that? If you can't afford to go the "Haven" route skip NCL cruise lines.

Entertainment was good. The "Rock of Ages" show was as good as Broadway! It really was! The cabins were nice and clean. Bring shampoo and conditioner! I always just use the little samples but they just had some poor quality body wash/shampoo on the wall of the shower ...my hair felt like straw until we got to Bermuda and I could run to the store.
