Every aspect of this cruise was excellent, including the staff, the food, the amenities, and the excursions. Everyone on staff went out of his or her way to be accommodating, and always did so with a smile! Oliver Freytag, our Program Director, even bought a guitar for one of our group to use in the evenings when we gathered to sing along with George, our pianist! Patrizia Oehler (Hotel Manager), Ion Bondar (Concierge), and Roland Bognar (Maitre D') were always on hand to interact with and assist us. Our Executive Chef, Manuel Guidotti, along with his staff, created the most delectable meals, of which there was great variety each day. The service provided by the wait staff and bar tenders was excellent. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful, and interesting to talk to. The excursions were well planned and varied. Every day brought something new. Overall, we could not have asked for more. Because of the professional and friendly service we received aboard the Alsvin, we will certainly travel with Viking again!

Cabin Review

Veranda Superior

Cabin A

Although not large, the cabin was well designed, extremely comfortable, and immaculate (It was cleaned TWICE daily, from top to bottom!). Our housekeeper, Veronika, made certain that we had extras of whatever we requested and even surprised us one evening with foreclosed into t :) e shape of a rabbit.

Port Reviews

Bratislava

Great walking tour; beautiful medieval church; enjoyed free time walking in city

Nuremberg

We took the optional WWII tour, which included the Nazi Party Rally Grounds, the Documentation Center museum, and the courtroom in which the Nuremberg Trials was held. It was a sobering, yet fascinating tour.

Regensburg

Quaint and well-preserved early medieval town. Informative walking tour. Visiting the Old Sausage Kitchen is a must!

Koblenz

Opted out of castle tour, so on our own for the afternoon; saw the Old and the new; wish there were more time!
