I have never in my life been so impressed with a cruise. Viking staff are excellent; extremely competent, friendly, helpful and highly organized. We did our pre-cruise excursion in Lucerne, Switzerland. We were well taken care of and never left to feel like we were without support or direction. We boarded the ship in Basel and were immediately surround by helpful and friendly shipboard staff. Our cabin attendant was extremely helpful. Anything we needed, he provided in order to make out cabin homey and inviting.

I can not say enough positive things about the food onboard. It was 'over the top'. We were warned at the beginning of the cruise that we would undoubtedly gain 5-6 pounds on the cruise. It can not be helped because the food is so good. All excursions were extremely well organized, the tour guides were spectacular and the tours were well planned.

To be quite frank about it, I would have turned around and done another tour the day after we disembarked the ship. I have never experienced such service excellence, professionalism and courtesy as my wife and I did on out Viking cruise. We had absolutely no bad experiences during the entire trip. I credit it all to Viking!

Deluxe Stateroom

Cabin E

The cabin seems small on first viewing it but in fact it was not cramped and way more storage than we needed. The bed was excellent and the restroom facilities, though small were very convenient and well laid out.
