We tried NCL last year to bermuda and loved it. The ship was older but the people made the trip well worth it. So we thought lets try a newer ship.

Me, my wife and son (4) took the 10 day cruise on the Gem out of New York city. The best part of the cruise was the taxi ride though Manhattan, wow. Never been to New York before and we will be coming back.

They told us Embarkation would be at noon but when we got there they had change it to 1:00pm. Very hungry and tired, should of brought lunch. Only thing to eat is hot dogs. When we finally got onboard the ship, everyone ran to the Garden Cafe. It was packed, no tables anywhere and people were standing around eating. We left and tried the Grand Pacific restaurant, smaller crowd but still had to wait for a table. The dinning room was about 1/10 full but we still had to wait about 15 minutes. Room was ready after lunch, we had a balcony room on the port side near the front.
