As we have experienced in the past with Viking Cruises, cruising through Provence and southern France on the Hermod was a wonderful experience. Guides for the excursions (we participated in mostly walking tours) spoke excellent English, were very well versed in history and interesting facts, and were entertaining. We fell in love with Arles, Avignon and Lyon and hope to visit again.

Service and food on the ship were outstanding. The French wines offered with dinner were some of the best we've had on a cruise. Attention to detail was stellar - from all crew members.

Entertainment in the evening was fun and lively. Demonstrations of local trades and business were very interesting and well presented. Read more
