This was only the 3rd voyage for the very new Viking Mimir, between Amsterdam & Budapest in June/July of 2015. We were still celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. We did our homework by talking with friends who had taken this cruise and viewing internet blogs and private videos. Our experience exceeded our expectations. The cabin and dining services were the best we've ever experienced on a cruise ship. Our needs were well met from the airport pick-up through the return at the end of the cruise. Food quality and options were outstanding; we looked forward to each and every dining experience. Cruising by day took advantage of the scenic Rhine River and Danube River (Wachau Valley). Cruising at night through the many locks was well-time and hardly noticeable. Tours were well-planned with highly congenial and informative local guides; daily briefings of upcoming tours were very helpful. Daily presentations and evening entertainment were most enjoyable. Since we do ballroom and country dancing, we made the best of the small dance floor. The pianist provided a wonderful choice of listening and dance music. We have lots of memories (and photos) and have already book another cruise for 2016.
