Sail Date: Aug 2015
Cabin: Balcony

The ship was overcrowded by 140 with 3700 passengers of which over 2400 were from USA. The rest of the passengers were made up from approx 400-500 Canadian, approx 130-140 British with the remainder made up of Australian, New Zealand, South African, Irish and Philippines.

Getting there:

We drove from home to Southampton - 180 miles and parked at the Ocean Terminal.

Cabin Review

Balcony

I've been on Royal Princess before as well as five other Princess ships and all cabins are very much the same, spacious, comfortable and adequate.

Port Reviews

Kirkwall

Shore excursion was OK, but guide's thick and heavy Orcadian accent was hard on my ears!!

Invergordon (Inverness)

There is a fairly good train service to Inverness - use it!!!

Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Travelled around on the city's new trams. Not bad for £1.50 single fare.
