We just returned from a week on Adventure of the Seas. I was a little concerned with a few of the reviews I had read about the ship. Things like its a rust bucket, dirty, old carpeting smelly bathrooms etc...
I saw no such things. Our room was great, clean and smelled good. Our steward was Janice and she was wonderful.
The ship was lovely. Yes its a bit older. We sailed last year of the Allure of the Seas and it was fabulous as it was huge and a new ship. But the Adventure was smaller, easier to get around. We had a group of 6.
Took a short island tour with a Company outside the ship. Pretty goo. $25.00 Took about 2 hrs. Was going to have driver drop us at a beach and come back and get us but it started raining so we decided to return to the ship.
Favorite island. Took cab to Mullins beach on north side of island. ($7.00 each way). Great bar and restaurant.
Not a beach that tours go to so not crowded.
They had jet skis and snorkeling trips from the beach if you want them.
Best way to go.
Hated the market, vendors too pushy.
Grabbed a cab and went to a breach. Cab driver was Damien, he was great, gave a tour on our way. Beach was beautiful. Several tours ended up there. We paid$8.00 each way for the cab. A bargain considering people paid much more on the packages.
Great beach right by dock. Beautiful water. Rented chairs and umbrella for $20.00 for day. Why go anywhere else. Snorkeling pretty good if you went towards the pier where there is more rock and coral.
