Our first cruise was 14 years ago (we took a break to do some RVing instead).... a common phrase uttered during our week on the Jewel was 'why did we take so long to get back to cruising?'

We met some great people (via the Cruise Critic Roll Call Meet and Greet) and loved bumping into them during the week. Everyone onboard was friendly (with just a few grouches).

Thanks to the UDP and the UBP we ate at Cagney's almost every evening (with one side trip to Le Bistro for the Escargot). The UBP enabled us to feel free to try drinks we'd never tried before (so now we have new favorites).

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M1

We loved having the aft balcony and got some great footage on our GoPro when entering and leaving ports. (We also spotted a few whales.... :) )

One thing I will say about the room - we were on Deck 11, directly below the Garden café. So you can hear them setting chairs and tables up until about 10 pm at night.

Port Reviews

Seattle

Biased - we live 30 minutes away :)

Ketchikan

Loved how close the ship docked to the shopping area. Spouse even popped back on board to drop off some of our purchases.

Juneau

Tram was excellent (even if we had to pass though a cloud layer)

Skagway

What an adorable little town... and bless the full time 800 residents for putting up with us :)
