Sail Date: Jan 2009

This was our fourth cruise (third with Carnival) and definitely the best cruise we've ever been on! We sailed out of San Diego, California, on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 and spent 8-days cruising the Mexican Riviera... stopping at Acapulco, Zihuatanejo, and Manzanillo. I am 51 years old, my wife is 49, and we were also traveling with our 23-year-old son. We wanted to cruise out of San Diego because our son goes to school there. Another thing that lead us to chose this particular cruise was the fact that it visits Acapulco... and we had a real great time in Acapulco on a previous cruise.

Let me tell you about a few highlights of our cruise...

I really enjoyed the food. I'm a picky eater, and food has been a problem for me on two of our previous cruises. I think Carnival did a really good job of offering well prepared food that would appeal to the average American and typical cruiser. I was very satisfied with it!

Cabin Review

Cabin 8H

Really nice cabin with lots of storage. Great location near the elevators but not so near that you hear the elevator chime. Being immediately below La Playa Grill was not a problem as far as noise, and was very convenient as far as access. Good view from the balcony, with absolutely no obstructions. The only negatives were some vibrations in the cabin, and a persistent (mild) bad smell in the bathroom.
