We normally cruise for 7 days or longer but we needed one point for the next level in the Crown and Anchor Society, so we booked this short cruise 4 day cruise to the Bahamas. Most of our cruises have been on Voyager class and above but 4 cruises on the Rhapsody and 1 on the Serenade complete our RCCL small ship experience. We are not large ship snobs, the Rhapsody and the Serenade are wonderful vessels, but I think that we were prepared to be disappointed because this ship has been running 3 and 4 day cruises. Instead we were delighted.
Our cruise was August 31, 2015, finishing Sept 4th.
Scheduled for CT1
Our cabin was great. Junior Suite. Good repair. Nice surfaces. Safe, Refrigerator. Flat Screen. Clean Windows. Nice Balcony Furniture (2 chairs and a table). I think that they could add some storage on the walls around the bed.
The bed is set a little low for us and the luggage required a bit of extra effort to push under. I just picked up the bed....
The Cabin Attendant was incredible and we provided an extra tip for him.
Nassau is always a good port to visit. We have been there many times on cruise ships and other travel. My task was to shop for my wife who was back on the ship. Just head to Diamonds International !
King Street is a great shopping route. I visited the Pirates of Nassau Museum, a reasonable pirate exhibit, for the first time. Not too expensive and very informative. Check out Trip Advisor reviews before you go. Bypass the ones that trash it, they have their own agenda.
The Cruise Terminal was excellent. The Hotel that we choose was a little ways down the strip, which was probably a good thing. Our ride from the Hilton to the Cruise Terminal was less than 10 minutes.
I couldn't talk my wife into one more tour of NASA, but regardless it is highly recommended.
Visit Ron Jon's. It's open 24 hours.
