Norwegian Epic Review

Very uncaring staff, and very tight with ways to better your experiences with NCL.

This was my second cruise with NCL .. First time going to the European areas... Went on the Epic... and this was supposed to be my Birthday cruise .... last time , I went to the Bahamas, on the Getaway. ( 2014 ).. The Epic is abit older ( 2010 ) and the layout is not as good as on the Getaway .... The kids pool on the Epic, is in the Center of the ship was all the outdoors bars are and all of the music and concert stage is.... this really should be the Adult area , not the kid area !...

Overall, the cruise was nice ... the entertainment cruise director was never seen and did not do anything to get the quests in a festive, party mood... No Bon Voyage party. at all !!! Very Disappointing . Half way thru the cruise, some sewage pipes broke , which flooded about 6 of the cabins ( but not ours, thank goodness ) but all the noises in the middle of the night to clean it up and the terrible smell was a problem... also, there were kids, running the cabin halls, well into 4 am , and nothing was being done about it.. so that was 2-3 days of No Sleeping .... also, there were one day, in the O'Sheenans Restaurant, where my food was served Raw ! the Manager took down my cabin number but nothing came of it....

I finally complained to the Guest Service's people and told them about all of our not so good experiences, and all that they could offer me was a Dinner in one of the Higher Priced Restaurants ( but, NO, not the Steak House ! ) I asked them if they could just put the difference on my account as on-board credit, and the girl said NO ! WOW, I was asking so little to make this experience a little bit better ( and this was MY BIRTHDAY Cruise , after all ) and they wouldn't even do that for me ...
