Our 7 days aboard the Scenic Pearl were a great introduction to river cruising. We had great weather and saw so many sites. Embarkation and disembarkation were very well organized. There were 163 people on board for the trip. The excursions offered and the ones we took were very good, not too long bus rides if needed, gentle walker group for some of the sporty sites, small groups for the excursions helped make the excursions fun and interesting. The afternoon of sailing by all the castles was the reason I selected this cruise. It was just great, the CD gave some background about the various castles as we went by. There was plenty of room on the deck for viewing. The excursion to the Sprey Museum in Mannheim was a delightful morning and saw so many different pieces. But the Mechanical Music Museum in Rudesheim was just enchanting. We thoroughly enjoyed all the excursions.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

The cabins are small, but the river boat needs to fit in the locks. The bed was very good and enjoyed sleeping in it. The bathroom was nice, small shower but manageable. The smart TV allowed access to home emails, bow cam, and some news/tv stations. The balcony was the solar ones that Scenic has and was a nice way to be put to sleep with the river going by and the sun on your face.
