My husband has always wanted to go on a cruise but with myself, a non swimmer with a fear of deep water, have never fancied the idea. After years of thinking about it I reluctantly agreed and within eight weeks we where on are way. On arrival at Barcelona port the ship was very impressive, gigantic! The embarkation ran very smooth with ice cold water and biscuits for refreshments. Our cabin was a balcony one on deck six. It wasn't the biggest space but more than adequate. Your only in the cabin to sleep, wash and dress not have a party so any bigger would be wasted space. The only downside was no UK electric sockets, I asked at guest services for an adaptor which they did not have, so on the first stop in Mallorca I nipped off the ship and bought a couple. This was a bit annoying as I had read on previous reviews that UK sockets where in the cabin, if knowing otherwise I would have packed some I already have from home.

The restaurants on board where great with fab service, mainly ate at the American Icon, the beef rolls at The Park Cafe deck 8 where to die for! We also ate at the non inclusive Chops Grille, the food was wonderful. The only eatery we did not like and only went to once was the Windjammer, it was like a cattle market. The on board shows where very entertaining, Mamma Mia was fantastic as was the Aqua show (Oceanaria). My 11 year old son took full advantage of the flow rider, surf, pool and hot dogs!

We went on a tour of Pisa and Rome. Pisa was arranged through RCC which was ok, Rome by ourselves which was better. I have travelled near and far in my life but this holiday was the most stress free, relaxing holiday I have been on. Royal Caribbean certainly know their stuff, staff are so warm and welcoming, service was second to none from beginning to end and the ship was fantastic. I loved this holiday so much and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone thinking of cruising. Within a week of being back off this cruise we booked another RCC 10 day Western Caribbean cruise for April 16, beginning with a 3 night stay in New York. I am counting the months, weeks, hours and seconds! cant wait!!!
