To be fair, we selected Norwegian because it is known for being more casual with free style dining that allows you to choose when and where you dine. And we got exactly that. I packed way too many business casual clothes. Jeans would have been fine for the week's activities.

"The choice" in dining is misleading because the same food is served in the restaurants as on the buffet. And the food was mediocre at best. On a particular night when the sea was rough, the dining room was near empty. Nevertheless, we were seated right next to a fresh pile of vomit. (Note: we did not try the restaurants with an additional fee)

Our state room with balcony was spacious and comfortable- the only way to go! Our steward was knowledgeable and helpful, but anyone else we ask a question, never seemed to know what they were talking about. They usually gave us misinformation.
