Mediterranean Cruise, Holland America

I wanted to share this review for other travelers. It is a long review and I will try to include details that may or may not be important to others. We stayed two nights at the Colon Hotel. The hotel staff was friendly. We arrived around 12:00 p.m. and our room was ready. We had a superior room for three. There is a coffeemaker and small mini bar in the room. The water pressure is good, and the beds are comfortable. We did not eat at the hotel. There is a Carefour supermarket that is walkable from the hotel heading towards the train station, a bank directly across from the front door of the hotel (the atm did run out of Euros the last day), and a Starbucks across the street. The Carefour supermarket has wine, water and also prepared foods. I could not find something I liked in the wine selection so I purchased at the port but did purchase our soda and water for the ship. The hotel will hold your luggage in a room in the lobby if you want to tour before boarding or checking in. The pool is too small. We wanted to see the view at sunset from the roof, but were not able to make it.

We purchased the 10 ticket package at the train station and used this to travel to the FCB Camp Nou Soccer Stadium, Park Guell and back from Sagrada Familia. Place the ticket through the ticketholder and remove and the gate will open. One person passes through and then each time for the amount of people using the ticket. There is a discount for students at FCB Camp Nou of 5.00 euros. I think the train stop is Les Corts. We purchased two tickets online and bought my son’s tickets when we arrived at FCB.
