Cabin: Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite

We have no complaints about this cruise. We stayed in a Neptune suite and maybe you get what you pay for in accommodations. No one can predict the natural occurrences but we sure lucked out with glacier calving, orca and humpback whales, herds of porpoise, and rainbows galore. Food was very good at all dining options. Activities were fine for us too.

I probably would not get off the boat if I were to make a return cruise since we weren't all that fascinated with ports or some of the excursions we took but that has nothing to do with ship just our comments on what we chose to do. White Pass train was very nice though.

I have spoke with several repeat cruisers and our "neighbors" on the next door veranda. They all had cruised on several lines and comment that HAL is their favorite. We had 1500 guests on ship and 600 employees and there were times that no one was around. Walked on Prommenade almost alone. Never felt crowded which I did not expect but sure appreciated.

Nice and comfortable. Loved the towel creations! Room stewards and concierge were wonderful

Port Reviews

Nice scenery, history, and enjoyable

Glacier Bay

Breathtaking

Ketchikan

Nice town but rain put a damper on things. We had wanted to go to Potlatch Totem but couldn't find acceptable transportation. Visitor center information side discouraged saying city bus would take 3 hours.....tour side did not offer any excursions there. Odd. Did a bit of shopping and walked around.

Vancouver

Too urban for us
