We booked this cruise due to a deal we received from Carnival and received a great discount. This was our first cruise with our 2 year old daughter and we were on the Victory for our Honeymoon 10 years ago.

Since our last time onboard there were clearly some items that remained the same and some that were brand new. Upon entering the ship you are immediately greeted by the sea of green that the Victory is known for. I still think it is very pretty. The casino has received some upgrades, so has the addition of the Alchemy bar and the sports bar is beautiful. Our room (9208 Interior) was good. Some areas show some age. Some of the tiles in the bathroom have clearly been replaced and a handle on one of the closets needed some repair, but overall the room was very clean and comfortable. I happen to love a carnival bed.

We visited the Camp Carnival and were not that impressed. Mainly because it was just one large room for the kids 2-6 and I envisioned an area for sleeping, an area for playing, etc. We took our daughter one time and she hated it. I believe being 2 she was just outnumbered by some older kids closer to 6 and they ran the room. So we kept her with us the entire trip. What she did love was the kids pool on Deck 12. Great location and in the shade. Was a fantastic place to hang out with her.

Cabin 4H

Our room was clean and comfortable. Ni, our steward was very nice and kind to us and our daughter. It was the perfect room for having a two year old with us as it has a trundle bed and not a 3rd bunk. The trundle bed was great. Some areas of the room show the age of the ship, but overall everything was good. Only recommendation is they need more shelves in the closet. There are three closets spaces and I didn't need all that hanging space, but rather could have used more shelf space.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Not a lot to do in the port area except beach and Margaritaville. Would be interested in them expanding the area if they could.

Miami

We live local, so embarkation and debarkation are important to us It is always easy in Miami. The tunnel to get to/from the port is wonderful and parking is ok. Always a lot available, just a bit of an expense. $100 for a five day cruise.

Half Moon Cay

The best day on a cruise in a long time!!! The cabana is worth every penny and I can't wait until we come back. Beautiful beach, amazing water and great service. We had Cabana #10, but Half Moon Cay gets a 10 for being simply amazing!
