Now that our daughter is beyond the school years, we can now enjoy family vacations during times when schools are in session and cruises, resorts, etc. are less crowded -- which is why we cruised in April. It was great. Mostly an older crowd that didn't seem interested in doing the flow rider, rock wall, or zip line, so that left those activities relatively wait free during the cruise for a 60+ young at heart like myself (17 on the inside) and the 3 of us took advantage of that. The only time the ship felt crowded was when lining up for any show.
Dinners were great and we felt they must have changed the head chef at some point after we had read some disappointing reviews during our trip planning phase. We felt both the presentation and food quality was excellent and felt no need to spend extra at a specialty dining restaurant. Our waiter (Paul) and assistant waiter (Caroline) were excellent. We even felt the buffet dining had a large variety of good food during the few times we ate there. We had previously cruise on the Voyager class and felt the Oasis cooking was an improvement over that.
Our room overlooking Central Park was nice and peaceful and we were glad we didn't overlook the noisier and more active Boardwalk area.
