My family and I sailed on the Enchantment for three nights starting on a Friday. Overall it was a nice experience but I wasn't overwhelmed. The ship seemed a little dated. I think I'll go for a newer ship next time. This was my first cruise in 25 years. My adult daughters had their own cabin and weren't very impressed.

One thing I have to mention. When we left port in Florida, I grabbed a drink and stood on deck to watch the view and immediately spotted an officer taking down the US flag. I guess when you leave port they do this. But I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE TREATMENT OF THE FLAG. The officer rolled it into a ball and stuffed it under some ledge on the ground at the base of the flag pole. Not exactly the way for a company based in the US to treat our flag.

The food in the dining room at dinner was good. I was glad to see that not many people were adhering to the formal dress code. I wasn't about to bring a suit or sport coat to Florida in August. I dressed in nice shorts and short sleeve shirt. I did bring a pair of pants for the formal night on Saturday but that's as far as I was going to go. I'm on vacation, not at the office. The food in the Windjammer Cafe was only passable and it was almost always crowded.
