After arriving in LA, we had prime time shuttle booked and waited an 1-1/2 hours to get a shuttle to our hotel. I would not recommend them to use. We stayed at the Best Western in San Pedro, very nice rooms and reasonable. The staff is very friendly and they have a free shuttle to the ship.

The Ruby is a beautiful ship and the staff is excellent. Our bags were delivered to our room within an hour. We were in room P318 on the plaza deck which is not a good choice. It is very noisy and at night around midnight on, we could hear a lot of banging from the art gallery and the casino up above. I think they put the paintings away and it sounded like they were banging them against the walls.

We did anytime dining and never waited more than 20 minutes for a table. The food was great. We did the crab shack and it was good.

The rating is for the cabin location. We were on the Plaza deck and it is noisy. Around midnight, they would put the paintings away and they would bang against the walls. You could hear a lot of people talking and music from the Piazza as well. Noise from above in the casino too. If you want a quiet room, I would choose another deck.

Port Reviews

Ensenada

I would stay on the ship if I go here again. Poor area and kids begging for money. Not much to see here.
