Sail Date: Aug 2015
Cabin: Grand Suite

We sailed on the Carnival Valor on August 22 - 29, 2015. This was our third Carnival Cruise and we stayed in a Grand Suite. On carnival, there are no amenities for suite guests as there are on Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and other cruise lines other than early embarkation/debarkation. They even did our laundry on Holland America in a Junior Suite and had a concierge lunge for suite guests.

First, the positives. Our room steward and assistance were absolutely fantastic. Our Server and assistant at dinner in the Washington Dining Room, Angela and Kristine, were fantastic. They became a part of our family. We were seated with 5 other passengers at dinner and each was a delight. I looked forward to dinner to talk and eat with my new friends.

Most of the other staff were friendly but not like I came to expect from earlier cruises. I bought a soda card for the week but when asking for a soda was given a dirty look. One waiter who came to me in the Comedy Club even told b\me i would take him a long time if all I wanted was a soda.
