My husband and I finally got to take our first cruise. All these years we saved to do it right. I have wanted to sail Alaska And see whales, my dream vacation. Alaska did not disappoint, It was beautiful. We paid a little more for a balcony room so we could sit out there and drink coffee in morning & tea in afternoon. The room was clean, and our evening steward was great. That was it!
When we arrived in Seattle at pier we stood in line after line, we felt like cattle. When we got to check in area that's when we were told the ships last cruise in Caribbean before coming here had someone with illness on board. The Norwegian company should have told us way before we were stepping onto ship. We were not allowed to take our own food they had to place it on plate. Which doesn't seem too bad except when there is two of them and hundreds of guests! Very disorganized!
Every where you went they were spraying you with disinfection spray, washy washy, I was sick of hearing it! The ship had been striped of all coffee/tea makers so sitting out on balcony sipping tea, not unless you ordered room service. That's the next thing...room service not included for free, which we got the extra package of meals & I asked to make sure we could get coffee & breakfast in room because we have medications to take and takes us a little while before we can get out. What they don't tell you is bread & muffins are the only free things, not eggs you have to pay. Water to drink you have to pay...4 dollars a bottle. That is just great for diabetics!!
It was warmer in Juneau then Seattle! Pretty place ,good time to walk around and shop.
saw some eagles, liked this town the best. Small quiet not pushing you to buy jewelry like the other places.
beautiful scenery!
Nice town, shopping everywhere!
Really like Seattle. Good seafood.
