Take the WWII special tour. It was excellent.

Dramatic abbey, but not a great stop on a tour. On the other hand, we were bussed from Regensburg to Melk (4 hr bus ride), which probably negatively affected my views.

But way too brief. Our time in Vienna was cut short by the fact that we had to change boats. We lost valuable cruise time as well as time in key destinations like Vienna and Budapest.

Main problem was that our time in Budapest was cut almost in half due to changes in the cruise schedule. Very disappointing.

For example, we were supposed to awake in Budapest, yet we didn’t arrive until 11:30 am (and the last 90 min was a third bus ride), missing half of our one day in this destination.• One of the reasons given was that the river was impassable between Regensburg and Passau, yet when we arrived by bus in Passau we found another Viking boat that had just sailed from Regensburg!
