This cruise was my husband's retirement gift to us. We had always wanted to see Alaska and thought this would be a great way to do it so we booked our trip on the Norwegian Sun.

The whole process of checking in and getting settled into our cabin was easy and organized. Our cabin steward Asep couldn't have take better care of us! The crew worked together like the proverbial well oiled machine. Every member of the crew that we encountered was so nice took and such good care of us and and were so friendly, always smiling. The food of course was the best! Whether you had your meals in either of the main dining rooms, the buffets , or one of the specialty restaurants, all of the food was prepared so well and was so delicious.... definitely 5 star dining !

The variety of shore excursions was wonderful. My husband and I are outdoors people and there was something for anyone and everyone to do whether you chose to walk around each port exploring the town, going on a tour of a native cultural center and village, seeing a lumberjack show, taking a train ride, hiking up to a glacier, fishing, or whale watching. On days when we were at sea , there were several activities for everyone to participate in from children to those of us a little bit older. Everything we did, gave us such wonderful memories!
