Cabin: The Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony

My husband, myself and our two children, ages 10 and 8, traveled on the Breakaway from NYC to Bermuda from 8/16-8/23. We booked a 2-bedroom family room in the Haven. We had a very easy experience with port parking on the morning of 8/16.

We arrived around 10am or so, and were able to bypass all the lines to go to the Haven lounge, located inside the port terminal. They served coffee, snacks, etc., and we began boarding around 11:30am. We were taken directly to the Haven lounge, where we were welcomed by the concierge, Anoop, and his team. We had food available, so we did not have to deal with crowded buffet lines.

I stress that if you want to have an enjoyable, non-spring-break experience, stay in the Haven. Separate pool (though small), separate restaurant (very good), separate sun deck and separate bar/lounge area made the Haven DEFINITELY worth the extra money. You could escape the masses and actually relax. Every time I went on the main pool deck, I was shocked at the lack of seating availability, the noise, and the "spring break" vibe I got. It was gross. On any other cruise line we've gone on before, you aren't allowed to "hold" seats all day long. If seats are unattended for a couple of hours, then towels are removed. Not so on Norwegian. Every time I walked through the pool area, not a seat was to be found, and I'd bet that only 20% of the seats were actually occupied at any given time. The slides were great, though. My son and I did them over and over!!
