We have been on several cruises and will never cruise with MSC again. The ship was nice and our cabin was very pleasant as was our steward, but that's about all I can say on the positive, unfortunately
Firstly we chose the wrong time of year, cannot blame MSC for that. The ship was over run with children being holiday time and every pool was overtaken by kids making it unpleasant for adults to use any of the pools. Some children were running along the passage ways even late at night totally unsupervised.
We found the dining room very crowded and the service and food was not up to the standard we have been used to on previous cruises. The waiters were passing dishes across tables partly because they couldn't squeeze around the jammed in tables. On other cruise lines the staff are very particular about hygiene, reminding people to disinfect their hands on entering the dining room. On this cruise the hand disinfectant was pushed out of the way, sometimes not working and other times not there at all. Not good enough especially with so many families on board.
