We hadn't cruised in 10 years so wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The ship was clean and the staff was friendly and always helpful. The food at the Scarlet Restaurant, the buffets, deli and Bar B Que was hot, fresh and delicious. Our waiter in the Scarlet was Ikomang and his staff and they were polite and always quickly brought us our dinners. Fernando and staff were the stewards and kept our cabin neat and tidy with a friendly smile. Our cabin itself was roomy and had two bathrooms which was unexpected.
There was fun entertainment on the ship in the evening and trivia games and art auctions during the day to help pass the time. We went on 3 excursions and were pleased with all.
We would love to cruise with Carnival again in the future.

Stayed downtown at the AC Hotel. did our own walking tour of Bourbon St and surrounding areas up to the Mississippi River. Partied on Bourbon street on a Saturday night with many revelers and felt safe there due to police presence. Ate at the Acme Oyster House and Kelly's across the street. Great Po' boys and Jambalaya. Walked to the Cafe du Monde and enjoyed delicious beignets. Loved the architecture in the city!
