Danube Delights Cruise on the Emerald Sun with Emerald Waterways. Excellent!

Our first river cruise but certainly not our last. The ship was brand new; it was christened during our trip along with its sister ship the Emerald Dawn. The ship was immaculately clean and beautifully designed. We had booked a Panoramic Balcony Stateroom which was comfortable, roomy and attractively appointed. The stateroom was cleaned twice a day!

The food on the ship was varied, often containing dishes relevant to the area which we had visited that day and without exception delicious. Entertainment on most evenings was provided by George the pianist together with taped music for those passengers who wanted to party, party! On two occasions the entertainment was provided by local groups; an oompah duo - very entertaining and on another occasion a typical music and folk dancing group who were superb. Read more
