Traveled with children

Sailed on the Breakaway for the first time 7/19-7/26/15 from New York to Bermuda. We have sailed twice previously – once on Holland America (Maasdam) ten years ago and once on NCL (Dawn) two years ago both of which we enjoyed.

We took metro north into Grand Central then a cab to the pier (@ $14.00 cab ride). Arrived at the pier about 10:15 am, dropped of luggage, went to check in and were directed right up to a person to check us in. Very easy and quick process (received boarding number 13). I got in line to sign the kids up for Splash Academy and was immediately concerned with how slow the line was moving and the length of the line. After being in line almost an hour we finally got to the front and signed up although we would still have to actually have to go to Splash Academy on the ship to get the kids bracelets. Our boarding number was called @ 11:50 and we were on our way.

Sailing out of NYC was a treat. We found a spot on the top sundeck to be able to see what we were passing on both sides of the ship. My kids loved being able to see the Statue of Liberty and NYC.

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

This room worked great for us and we felt like there was plenty of room. A good set-up to sleep 4 people and still be able to move around.
