My husband and I took this 26 day cruise mainly because the idea of travelling Fremantle to Fremantle( no plane flights) was very appealing. We had also travelled on Dawn Princess in 2014 to New Zealand. The ship had undergone a bit of a refit in May this year so that was a bonus. As like every cruise there are pros and cons. I will start with cons.
1) dreadful embarkation experience- took 4 hours from their original requested time. To be fair there had been an outbreak of nova virus and everyone had to disembark while the whole ship was cleaned. Having seen how some people ignore infection control warnings I would blame passengers and not the crew for any outbreaks. Our trip was free of any such virus
2) the passengers mostly looked like they had come out of nursing homes- old, very feeble, many with mobility difficulties. At least we didn't have screaming kids so that was a plus.
Good with plenty of storage space. If you are overweight you will have troubles in the shower room
