I think this may be a long one! We have cruised a few times now, formally on Royal Caribbean most recently Celebrity S Class ships. This trip was on Equinox. We had the virus cleanup before we got on board so we boarded late - a drag as you have to wait around after your flight but worth it as far as I'm concerned. I was not bothered for the first 4 days that we were served or that I had to use the santiser 10 times a time - we remained healthy the whole trip and if there was illness on board nobody was talking about it.
We had an obstructed new balcony (guaranteed - you take your chance) This is the fist time we've actually had the life boat but again, lovely to have a balcony and just had to look upwards if I wasn't reading my book! We shared a table of 8 and had the best companions apart from the time we went with friends. We like meeting people but you often take your chance but this time we hit the jackpot.
We thought the food was top notch, the sommelier and our wait staff were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble. Our assistant waiter did not warm or make the effort for 13 nights but always did his job so no complaints. Our room was clean and tidy all the time. We didn't see them other than our first day on board. I like to see them but I know that's a matter for debate. Only one towel animal the whole week but chocolates on the pillow every night - who does have room to eat those! The ocean view was always busy but again, although not piping hot the food was of a very high standard and we were never short of something to eat. We eat in Silk Harvest one night and Tuscan Grill. We enjoyed both. Because of friends we got a discount for the Tuscan Grill so well worth it - food, views and service are great. I prefer Quisine to Silk Harvest but that doesn't mean it wasn't good.
Standard obstructed view cabin. No noise even on the day when they used the life board.
