Traveled with children

I cruised with my family as a group and myself and two daughters (ages 4 and 5) in our stateroom. This is my overall experience: Check in went rather fast and well organized with staff very attentive to more than one family traveling with youngsters. We boarded with relative ease and minimal hassle. I went at once to register my children for the Splash Academy. The check in process there was very disorganized and random. But we got through it. Overall during the cruise my kids enjoyed the Splash Academy and took advantage of it in throughout the days when we were not off the ship in port and on sea days. My big complaint is that I had paid $$ for the concierge app from Norwegian and told the staff every time I checked in the kids that I had the app on my phone which was in hand and also told them where on the ship I planned to be. Yet when my younger child had an issue the staff called my stateroom which did me no good. Checking in and out the kids was tedious with only one staff member doing that for all the parents. All that aside my kids did enjoy the Splash Academy.

In the stateroom - not kid friendly. Glass drinking glasses on a turbulent sea not good. Temp control in shower set mounted low at kids level and does not lock possible scalding injuries as the water gets hot. Also no kids channels on TV in room (isn't the cruise line partnered with nickelodeon?) Kids menu also the same in every sit down restaurant even specialty.

Dining - enjoyed the Irish pub and the Summer Palace. Indigo was ok and the Lotus Garden service horrible! Buffet usually good and not too crowded easy for the kids to pick and choose.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin ID

More room than I thought we would have. Bunk bed on one side and twin on other. Some issues with glass in cabin and shower scald potential and unlocked minibar otherwise nice. Very quiet and temp control was good.

THIS IS DEFIANTLY A THING ON MY BUCKET LIST - amazing scenery and unforgettable experience.

Seattle

Embarkation and Debarkation were smooth and easy. We stayed at a hotel by the airport and had extended family in the area for pick up and drop off
