Living in New York and getting the ship on the Westside was convenient. Breakaway is a huge ship with over 4000 people- thats the first drawback. First minute we stepped on board the elevators were packed- that's the biggest problem -getting an elevator. we found ourselves taking the steps wherever we had to go almost every day of the cruise. there are so many people on board that the adult pool was always packed -you can never get a spot anywhere around the pool. Who really wants to get up at 6 AM on vacation to go reserve yourself a chair by the pool? not me, but apparently others do... so if you don't then you will find yourself getting chairs in the faraway places on deck. The kids pool is set up badly. not many spots for parents to lounge about while their kids play- many times we found ourselves sitting uncomfortably on a ledge watching our kids-it just sucks. The quality of the food iOS good overall. The specialty restaurants are always packed - people apparently make reservations MONTHS in advance. I don't see the point in going on a Bermuda vacation and tying yourself down with a dinner reservation on board - having to rush back for a dinner reservation from such a beautiful island. But I guess other people value food over the betray of Bermuda. we didn't want to tie ourselves down- with reservations all the time, having to rush back to the ship to eat at specialty restaurants-We wanted to enjoy the port of call and other activities. So if u want to dine in the specialty restaurants then you better make online reservations months in advance. Although the main dining room's food was really good anyway. We managed to get into the steakhouse one night and it really wasn't such a big deal.

Overall it was a good trip - service was good -food too- but next time if I choose Norwegian I'm going on a smaller ship- too many people on board this one

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Nice and clean- we had adjoining cabins with a door connecting the two-plenty of room for 5.
