We recently completed this cruise, and were somewhat disappointed. We had cruised on the Navigator and Radiance of the Seas prior to this cruise, and have seen a decline in service.
Because we were travelling with a child, we booked an outside stateroom on deck 2. Upon our arrival I asked about the possibility of receiving an upgrade. I was told there was nothing available. We are Crown and Anchor members and I thought this gave members a little more priority for available upgrades. Apparently I didn't know what I was thinking because there was another couple in line behind us who had been upgraded from deck 2 to deck 7. I asked them if they were Crown and Anchor members too and they said no, in fact this was their very first cruise. It would appear that being a Crown and Anchor member really doesn't have much advantage other than having a glass of wine and greeting the Captain.
Our room would have been quite adequate, had it been cleaned properly. Our window was dirty, dust bunnies were under the night stands, mold on the shower curtain, and no blankets were ever provided to accommodate the king size that was created when they pushed the to two twin beds together. On the previous ships we had been provided with a foam pad for the center of the bed to cover the crack created when they were pushed together. We were told they didn't have anything like that when I requested it from our cabin steward. One of us was always falling in the crack.
