We went on three different excursions on the Regal Princess. In particular, one in Glascow, Scotland; Invergordon, Scotland; and one to Ruen, France.
We really enjoyed all three excursions, but my advice would be that if you are taking an excursion in Invergordon or any other location, be sure to take the 1/2 day excursion. We found that the all day excursion folks had wished their excursion was much shorter. We took the 1/2 day excursions and it was enough time to see everything. We all agreed that an all day excursion would have been too much. We were very lucky in that we had great weather in Ireland and Scotland. Take the morning excursions if you can as the weather was great for us in the morning, by afternoon there was light rain. We noticed this at almost every stop.
If on the Glascow, Scotland excursion - we loved that the leader sang Scottish songs on the bus. Get those video cameras ready!
We loved the Regal Princess ship and the entertainment was fantastic. If you make a stop in Liverpool walk to Albert Dock (head south when leaving ship), there is a great museum with a Beatles exhibit. Also the Beatles Café has fantastic Beatle memorabilia. DO NOT MISS the entertainment on board that evening if they have a special, one night only Beatle's performance. Go early and get good seats. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!
Cabin was great! Room stewart excellent!
