Trip itinerary: Athens, Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, Kusadasi, Istanbul

We are a married couple, 30 years old, love to travel, and from New England!

We flew into Athens the day before the cruise left from the port so we knew we wouldn't miss it! We stayed at the Ledra Hotel in Athens which is owned by Marriott. It wasn't located super close to anything except a strip club across the street. We took a taxi to the Old Town Plaka which is right underneath where the Acropolis is. Tons of food and shopping...we walked around there for most of our time. The view is very pretty just under the Acropolis as well and we were able to be there for sunset. We ate at the restaurant at night. We weren't too keen on staying out late since this was right in the middle of the debt crisis.
