We had an amazing time, but several things that made this a less-than-perfect vacation. The ship is beautiful and our stateroom was spacious and very clean. Service throughout the cruise was exceptional. We went 3 days to the Bahamas. Since we were recently on a vacation in Nassau, we decided to stay on the ship during that day in port. I thought we'd have a relaxing day at the pool but every single passenger on the ship had the same idea. I don't know if it was because the excursions were so expensive or because the ship warned everyone about safety and robberies on the island but it was way too packed to enjoy the pool or the water slide. The second day at Castaway Cay had so much potential until a thunderstorm rolled in for several hours and everyone returned to the ship. The beaches are gorgeous and there are so many activities. It was disappointing for this day to be cut short. Here's my real issue with the trip, the food selection in the dining room was AWFUL. I read reviews in advance saying if you wanted something else, just ask. That isn't exactly true, you can only have something else that was one of the 5 options to choose from each night. If you didn't like it, you were basically stuck with room service. Being a Disney ship, I expected a little more offerings for children. My son had to order pizza every night because the choices for kids was not good either. On the second night, after ordering 2 different meals we left the dining room without eating anything. All food is pre-prepared and you cannot change it or get any other options. So very disappointing. Because of this, I'm definitely in no hurry to return to another Disney cruise.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Cabin 04D

The room was amazing. My son loved the bunk bed that pulled down from the ceiling and had stars above him. Plenty of room under the bed for all of our suitcases and we never felt crowded with 3 of us in the room. I loved the Disney movies that you could watch on TV any time. This room was mid to back of the ship. Not really too far of a walk to either end. Our stateroom attendant was amazing and kept the room spotless the whole time.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Check in was so efficient. I did online check in ahead of time and we zipped right through the line.

Nassau

Worst place ever. We got off the ship to do a little shopping and were accosted by people trying to get us to take a cab. Everything was dirty and we were worried about getting robbed due to warnings on the ship so we were off the boat for less than 10 minutes and turned around and went right back.
