Great experience overall, with good personalized service and premium quality F&B. The bar tenders and waiters remember little details of your preferences like whether you like ice in your drink, which is your preferred mixer, how much lemon you like squeezed, and how you like your beef cuts and lamb chops cooked.
The entertainment on board was fantastic, with professional singers, dancers, excellent choreography, great art and fitness seminars, competitions, themed parties almost every night being conducted very well by an enthusiastic activities team. The props, costumes, lighting were excellent. There were some good juggling and Broadway-styled theatre acts, musicals, plays, dances. Most of the performances had live music, with a good ensemble which I appreciate and all shows had well balanced sound. The kids' activities were taken care of well by a smiling crew members.
The bars and lounges were warm and cozy, sports facilities well maintained, washrooms extremely clean, rooms maintained perfectly. Every member of the crew I interacted with smiled and was polite and courteous, with no exception.
The clientele on board this cruise was quite old, with many senior-aged cruisers, hence there were quite a few seminars held to cater to their needs such as fighting back pain & insomnia, posture & balance, weight loss etc. which wouldn't be of much interest to a young cruiser.
The Norwegian Fjords were beautiful, and had great weather and plenty of daylight. The cruise excursions didn't seem to offer me good value for money (I did a hike to Pulpit rock from Stavanger port). My family arranged for excursions at other ports on our own, and we seemed to travel further into the country side and mountains than the cruise excursion busses.
