After 43 cruises and this was only or 2nd time on Carnival. We chose it for the price. Yes it is an older style ship, but we had great service and overall a good time. Food is typical cruise line fare but we had a great wait staff and bar service was very good. Our room was clean and our cabin steward kept us filled with ice and fresh towels. The production shows were good along with the comedians and performers that were brought onboard. The problem with Carnival is the passengers, who brings 5 year olds to the smoking casino bar at 11PM? The Adult pool means Adults? Stay on ships time means the time of your embarkation port, not the time on your phone... The Valor needs to go to the yards and have all the rust scraped off and repainted, but as far as the crew and staff, they were all great. We will do another Carnival cruise, if the price is right.

Neat and clean, roomy enough. Old TV but they have a great channel line up. Plenty of closet space. Great cabin steward.
