It is hard to understand why this ship gets so many bad reviews - the layout is very similar to other Carnival ships, so it is certainly not more confusing to find your way around this particular vessel. The state rooms are in good shape (we had an ocean suite), the staff is very friendly, though admittedly the guests/staff ratio is lower as compared to other ships (but that is clearly spelled out on the Carnival website if one takes the effort to read information about one's ship before booking). The waiters in the dining room were very nice and fast. There are plenty of excellent dining options - another major plus compared to other ships. The facilities are perfect for kids, particularly the waterpark and the sky course. So don't be fooled by an unbelievably low overall rating - the ship is at least as expected, particularly if you have been on other Carnival ships before.

Great cabin in the middle of the ship portside. Room enough for four (with an extra foldable bed for the fourth passenger stowed away during the day).
