Just returned from a 7-day cruise to Alaska aboard the Norwegian Sun. This was fourth cruise on Norwegian (1st time on the Sun) and 7th cruise overall. I have uploaded several reviews about cruise and this one might sound a little picky. There were four of us traveling (me, my wife and two adult daughters). We stayed in the same cabin because of Norwegian’s policy of 3rd and 4th person in the same room cruises free. This was Norwegian’s first 7-day cruise to Alaska of the season (May 18th). The weather surprisingly was warm in each port (70-75 degrees).
EMBARKATION: Took a long time to board, mostly due to Customs. Got to terminal at about 12:15. Didn’t board until past 1:30. However, our room was ready when we boarded and it wasn’t long before our luggage was arriving. We bought some water and soda before we boarded and brought it on with us.
STATEROOM: We had a mid-ship balcony and it was clean and just big enough for the four of us. The air-conditioning in the room was not working when we arrived and I immediately told the steward (Roland). The AC was fixed within about three hours. Everything else worked throughout the week. This was the first cruise where the cold water was actually cold.
