We booked this 12 night cruise to Iceland on an impulse after seeing an advert in the newspaper and loving the destinations and price. Then the negative reviews were constantly being posted and we seriously considered cutting our losses and not travelling. Some positive reviews began to appear and although apprehensive we decided to travel (albeit with low expectations).

We drove to Tilbury and used the port parking. You can drive up to the ship unload your cases and then park approx. 1 mile away and are bussed back to the ship. Embarkation was extremely quick and efficient. A nice touch was the crew member showing you to your cabin. (Not something we experienced with Royal Caribbean or Celebrity).

We had an inside cabin on deck 4 (4075) which was very spacious with plenty of storage and hangers. We had read lots of comments about engine noise on this deck but we never experienced this. The air conditioning did make a low level noise but this wasn't a problem. We had the air conditioning as low as possible but still found the room a little warm. It would have been good to have a kettle for an early morning cup of tea.
