The Norwegian cruise line website and actually talking to the phone representatives does not fully give accurate information about the Pearl. There was supposed to be a water slide and mini-golf, but neither was on the Pearl. They said they have a movie theater with different movies and movie times, but they do not have a movie theater, they show one movie at 11:00pm a couple of nights, but you have to go where the movie is being shown that night-it is different places. They say the menus are different in the two main dining rooms, but the food is the same. The Indigo is more appropriate for the upper class. They did not have the Who did it Murder Luncheon that is supposed to be on the Pearl.

The food portions are huge. They could give smaller portions to prevent from wasting so much food. The entertainment was boring. The Pearl does not have any big productions like on the other NCL ships. The bingo and Deal or No Deal are fun to play but very expensive. The only great things were the waiter staff in Summer Palace being extremely nice, and our steward for our cabin was nice and kept the room very clean. The teen program was nothing spectacular for my 14 year old son. The one thing he tried, there was only six teens at and what they did was not exactly what was described. The shopping guy, Mark, talks big, but his discount cards are not helpful unless you are spending thousands of dollars, if even then. He offered a free shuttle into Skagway, but he did not have the bus and put us in a cab that we thought was free but ended up paying for ourselves. You do not always see animals in Glacier Bay, either.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

The cabin was very nice. It was nice having a balcony to go out and look all times of the day and night at where we were and what we were passing.

Port Reviews

Glacier Bay

We were told you always see animals all over the islands, but we saw no animals. We were very disappointed. The glaciers were beautiful.
