We have sailed on the Silhouette before so knew what to expect and were not disappointed. The staff are generally fantastic; the food varied and of generally of good quality; cabins are adequate and the entertainment is mixed. Overall we had a great, relaxing vacation.
Embarkation and disembarkation in Amsterdam was efficient and painless - as good as it gets. The ports of call were exactly as we expected. The weather was cool, which, is exactly what one would expect in the Baltic at this time of year.
St Petersburg was less interesting than we had anticipated (part of this was due to a shore excursion mix-up on Celebrity's part).
For a ship cabin we got exactly what we wanted. The girls were less impressed with their location (the noise).
Warnemunde is a pretty German seaside town, very bland, with little to see or do. Berlin is a long way away.
Gorgeous medieval town, with lots to see and some wonderful street markets. A great day out wandering around.
Lovely clean Nordic city - big change after St Petersburg. Highly recommend the street market and the cathedral.
We spent most of our day at the Vasa Museum and in the Old Town. Get to the Museum early as it becomes crazy crowded by mid-morning. We took a taxi from the port directly to the museum and were the first people there! By the time we left it was heaving with people and tour buses.
Old town is charming with plenty of touristy shopping.
Another clean Nordic city. Loved the place and the crown jewels.
