The Emerald Princess is a very nice cruise ship. Our stateroom (B-319) was clean and cozy and the balcony provided us with time to relax and watch the sun rise and set as we entered and left port. The TV programing was above average and offers something for everyone.

The staff left a lot to be desired. It was as if the staff had been given pink-slips the day of departure. The staff seemed indifferent and lazy ship-wide. Good luck getting a glass refilled in the dining room. Overtime I walked by the customer service desk I heard some employee essentially telling another cruise goer, "We've already got your money, I'm not going to do anything for you, move along already."

While this cruise was not a disaster and nothing went "wrong", I still paid nearly $7,000 for my vacation and I had better times with Carnival and NCL cruise lines. There is too much competition out there to have to settle for Princess' half measures at customer service.
